Rep. Comer Warns WH Over Biden’s Mishandling Of Classified Docs, Oversight Is Coming!

President Joe Biden was criticized by House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) for “mishandling” secret materials and was forewarned that “oversight is coming” on Saturday.

A steady trickle of disclosures that his associates found records from his time as vice president late last year with classified markings upset Biden this week. Comer slammed the White House and the other government departments involved for their “alarming” lack of transparency in the situation.

President Biden’s three major offenses will be quickly addressed by legislative supervision, “In a statement on Saturday, Comer said. “The opacity of the Biden administration in this situation is troubling. The discovery that Biden’s aides were searching through papers while aware that a Special Counsel would be chosen is equally troubling. There are many unanswered questions, but one thing is certain: there will be monitoring.

Together with the House Judiciary Committee, which is led by Representative Jim Jordan, Comer’s powerful investigative committee has already started looking into the situation (R-OH). But he went into further detail in his remarks about some of his issues with the Justice Department, the White House, and the National Archives for failing to promptly tell Congress of the situation.

“The mishandled classified records from Joe Biden’s term as vice president were not promptly disclosed to Congress and the American people by the White House, the National Archives, or the Justice Department. Months after being discovered in an unsecured cupboard, the Penn Biden Center’s sensitive records were first brought to our attention “says he.

“Days later, we are finding out that the Wilmington home has further records. Are there any more secret documents to be discovered?” Added he.

The find was made at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, a think tank in Washington that focuses on foreign affairs, on November 2, according to sources. These documents contained intelligence regarding Iran, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom and were dated from 2013 to 2016. Later, the reports were confirmed by the White House.

Then reports said that Biden’s crew had discovered fewer than 10 papers in his Wilmington, Delaware, garage, next to his beloved 1967 Corvette Stingray, and had informed the DOJ of their discovery on December 20. Finally, the White House announced on Saturday that six more secret documents had been taken this week from Biden’s Wilmington home.

U.S. Attorney Robert Hur was chosen by Attorney General Merrick Garland to serve as special counsel to look into the situation. Former Obama administration official and attorney Bob Bauer has been selected by Biden to assist in managing his relations with the investigation. Additionally, he has insisted that he is “completely cooperating” with federal officials.
