Trump: When This Election Is Over, I Will Be President

During his first formal campaign event of the 2024 season on Saturday, former President Trump vowed to get rid of the "thugs and criminals" from the justice system as he battles a possible indictment.

Trump declared on the tarmac of a Waco, Texas airport, "I will be the president of the United States when this election is over." "You will be vindicated and proud, and the thugs and criminals who are tainting our legal system will be defeated, discredited, and completely disgraced," the speaker promises.

The former president criticized "prosecutorial wrongdoing" and warned a gathering of his followers that "our adversaries are trying to stop us" as he took aim at the different prosecutors looking into him in New York, Georgia, and Washington, D.C.

"Our adversaries tried everything in their power to break our spirit and will, but they were unsuccessful. They've only strengthened us," claimed Trump. And the final struggle is in 2024. That will be the significant event. If you put me back in the White House, their rule will end and America will once more be a free country.

Trump's comments come only one week after he sparked a political uproar by claiming that he would be detained as early as Tuesday in connection with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's (D) hush money investigation.

The former president has reiterated his statements despite the fact that his forecast has not yet come to pass, saying on Friday that an indictment may cause "possible death & destruction."

At the gathering on Saturday, he used a same aggressive tone as he discussed the upcoming election in 2024.

Trump stated, "Either we submit to the demonic forces abolishing and destroying, and gleefully doing so, our country, or we beat them in a landslide on Nov. 5, 2024." "Either we dismantle the deep state, or the deep state destroys America."

The former president also kept up his recent barrage of criticisms against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R), who is viewed as Trump's most significant prospective rival despite not having declared a run for president in 2024.

Trump stated on Saturday that "Florida has been incredibly prosperous for many years, long before this guy became governor." "Florida has been prosperous for decades, possibly as prosperous as it is right now."
