Shaquille O'Neal Sparks Concern With Hospital Photo

Despite undergoing hip surgery, Shaquille O'Neal is in high spirits. A day after sharing a picture of himself in a hospital bed with an IV linked to his arm on social media, the 51-year-old retired NBA player assured supporters that he was alright.

O'Neal posted a funny vintage video of himself wearing a Lakers jersey and flashing his buttocks on Twitter. A remix of Adele's "Hello" was added to the video, which was modified to display a distorted perspective of his behind.

"To everyone who is anxious and worried. Before making a joke, the NBA on TNT co-host added, "First off, let me say thank you. And secondly, no need to worry, just had to get some BBL WORK AKA #hipreplacement. I'm grateful and I love you all. but you shouldn't worry, and I'm okay."

According to the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, a BBL is a Brazilian butt lift that moves fat from the hips, belly, lower back, and thighs into the buttocks. When the athlete published the hospital photo on Sunday, many of his followers were alarmed.

He mentioned in the photo that he is "always watching" his TNT co-hosts Candace Parker and Ernie Johnson, even while he is in the hospital.

Miss y'all, said O'Neal.

O'Neal stated in December that he intended to shed 60 pounds by March 6, which was his 51st birthday. He revealed to Entertainment Tonight that he had already shed 40 pounds at the time.

O'Neal claimed to have shed 40 pounds. "Impressive, but I still need to reduce roughly 20 pounds. I'm going to work on my physique and shoot an underwear commercial with my sons."

With his ex-wife Shaunie O'Neal, the former Lakers star has three children: Shareef, Shaqir, and daughters Amirah and Me'arah. He also has a daughter, Taahirah, with his ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh, and a stepson, Myles, from Shaunie's previous union.

O'Neal told ET that after receiving the results of some blood tests, he decided to adopt a healthier diet. He claimed that despite being an athlete, he didn't pay special attention to his diet. He stated that he is currently taking supplements and consuming shakes in addition to his diet (he is aiming to eliminate bread and soda).

"The weight simply disappeared. I'm still not fully in ninja mode. I still have 75%, "Entertainment Tonight cited O'Neal.

O'Neal suggested that anyone looking to improve their health begin by walking for at least 30 minutes each day. What was he trying to accomplish? He said, "I think I could pull off the Marky Wahlberg look. I aspire to be referred to as the Black Mark Wahlberg.
