In yet another example of unnecessary police brutality, Tontitown police have charged a guy with violating an Arkansas law that prohibits body piercing for children under 16, except for earlobe piercings.
Somehow they were tipped off that this guy was piercing his son, somewhere on his ear, reportedly, and they arrested him.
Seriously? Aren’t some stupid laws meat to be broken?
Time Record reports that the police did not specify which part of the ear had been pierced. Instead of following up with a warning or a citation, the police treated Jeremy Sherland like a serial killer, making him the subject of an aggressive complaint.
This incident highlights the need for cops to stop being "order takers" and remember that they work for the community. Cops must learn to engage with their communities, listen to their concerns, and act with empathy and understanding and stop turning everything into a “five alarm” nightmare.
The innocent was caught on video. You can watch h below:

Officers said they were met by Jeremy at the front door. Officers asked Jeremy to step outside. Jeremy refused standing in the doorway with his hands behind the door and wall posturing himself.
Officers told Jeremy he was under arrest and explained the probable cause for the arrest. Jeremy refused to comply. Officers then took him into custody," Tontitown police said in the statement.
This should have been handled a lot better by both people, but police did treated this guy like he was a hardened criminal. Meanwhile,
we watch cops allowing violent criminals to rob stores and riot, without doing anything to stop them.
Where’s the consistency?
