Missing Florida Toddler Found In Unbelievable Tragic Circumstances

Police say that when a 2-year-old Florida toddler was discovered dead within an alligator's mouth, the hunt for him was suspended. Taylen Mosley's body was discovered, according to a statement posted on Facebook by St. Petersburg Police on Friday. This followed the issuance of an amber warning for the youngster on Wednesday and a search involving local, state, and federal agencies as well as a drone and dogs.

The statement claims that the investigation brought police to Lake Maggiore, where they discovered something in an alligator's jaws.

"In order to get hold of Taylen Mosley's body, the alligator had to be killed. What caused his death will be determined by the medical examiner, according to the report.

According to the statement, Taylen's father, Thomas Mosley, has been charged with two charges of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of his son and Taylen's mother, Pashun Jeffery. He was registered at the Pinellas County jail, according to records.

Taylen vanished after his mother, 20, was discovered dead in their flat on Thursday after a relative requested the building manager to check on the couple, according to officials.

The murder scene was "extremely violent on the inside," according to the police chief, and Taylen's safety was in grave danger. Authorities "[knew] he [was] not with his father," Holloway continued.

According to CNN, Holloway stated, "We didn't want to find him this way, but at least we can bring some closure to that family now."
