Carlson took to the social media platform to drop a bombshell video where he announced his independence from Rupert Murdoch and those Fox News goons. He's basically telling them to take their money and shove it, because he's ready to go it alone!
Slay News reported that he is still under contract with Fox until January 2025 so he will be walking away from $20 million a year by launching his show on Twitter.
Elon Musk probably made him a sweet deal to join Twitter but the details have not been made public yet.
But Carlson appears to be readying a lawsuit against Fox News over the fraud claims.
A letter from Carlson’s lawyer Bryan Freedman was sent to Fox officials Viet Dinh and Irena Briganti.
The letter claims that Fox employees, including “Rupert Murdoch himself,” broke promises to Carlson “intentionally and with reckless disregard for the truth.”
The letter says: “These actions not only breached the covenant of good faith and fair dealing in the Agreement, but give rise to claims for breach of contract, and intentional and negligent misrepresentation.
“Make no mistake, we intend to subpoena Ms. Briganti’s cell phone records and related documents, which evidence communications with her and all media, including, but not limited to The New York Times.”
