The dude's 60 years old, but he still managed to make his acceptance speech super cool. He filmed himself flying a fighter plane, wearing shades, and talking into a headset.
And get this—he made sure to show off his golden popcorn trophy while he was at it!
Unlike a lot of other celebrities in Hollywood, Tom Cruise isn't into politics or anything like that. He just loves entertaining people, and we're all grateful for that.

Daily Wire reported that Cruise encouraged everyone to see his upcoming action film “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” which debuts in theaters on July 12. The actor described the project as a “wild ride.”
“You have a wonderful summer. Thank you again for letting me entertain you. It’s an absolute privilege. We’ll see you at the movies,” the actor concluded.
Other nominees in the “Best Performance” category included: Austin Butler (“Elvis”), Florence Pugh (“Don’t Worry Darling”), Keke Palmer (“Nope”), and Michael B. Jordan (“Creed III”).
“Top Gun: Maverick” had the most nominations for MTV movie awards this year. In the TV categories, “Stranger Things” and “The Last of Us” also had six nominations. This year’s awards were supposed to be live and in person with Drew Barrymore as host, but producers had to make a last-minute change due to the ongoing Hollywood writer’s strike.
“Maverick” grossed more than $1.4 billion at the global box office and more than $690 million domestically after three months in theaters, making it one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, Variety reported.
Cruise filmed a special thank you for fans and jumped out of a helicopter over South Africa in December 2022. While audience scores for the film remained high, critics were less favorable in their reviews. The movie was nominated for three Academy Awards but only won Best Sound in what was considered a major snub by the industry. Cruise did not attend the Oscars ceremony in March.
We seriously need more celebs like Cruise in Hollywood...
Ones that are less about politicals and pomp and circumstance, and more about just putting out great movies for us all to enjoy!
