Urgent Vet Warning on Popular Garden and Park Flower That Can Tear Your Dogs Stomach Apart

As pet owners, we strive to provide the best care for our furry companions. However, unbeknownst to many, there is a hidden threat in our gardens that can bring about significant stomach pain and discomfort for our beloved dogs if they happen to ingest it.

In a TikTok video, a veterinarian shed light on the potential hazards of daffodils, a commonly found garden flower, which can result in severe illness for your canine companion. The vet emphasized that consumption of daffodils can trigger vomiting and inflict intense stomach pain on dogs.

In a clip shared to TikTok, through the pet expert's page Ucahteam, one vet said: "Although they are beautiful, the plant, flower and bulb can cause vomiting, abdominal pain, as well as cardiac arrhythmias and respiratory depression."

Other vets from the team also shared other plants and flowers that can be dangerous for your pets.
One revealed Lily of the valley can cause dogs to have seizures, as well as bring on vomiting, and diarrhea.

The vet said it can also cause a decreased heart rate and severe cardiac arrhythmias.

Another flower that can be dangerous for hounds is the oleander.

One vet said: "If pets eat the leaves and the flowers it can cause severe vomiting, a slow heart rate and it can be fatal."

Tulips can also make pooches feel under the weather.

This information is incredibly valuable, particularly considering that dogs, much like babies, have an innate tendency to explore the world with their mouths and are inclined to put almost anything they come across into their mouths.
