This Guy Has Undergone 30 Surgeries to Look Like Ricky Martin and He’s Not Even Close

I think it's widely acknowledged that Ricky Martin is a good looking guy, but would you consider undergoing 30 surgeries just to resemble him?

One person who unequivocally answered yes to that question is Francisco Mariano Javier Ibanez, a 33-year-old man from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He candidly admits to being addicted to plastic surgery, driven by his aspiration to emulate the dashing singer, Ricky Martin.

Francisco's infatuation with attaining Ricky Martin's appearance originated long ago when others noticed a slight resemblance between him and the renowned Puerto Rican artist.

From New York Post

Francisco said: “This started a long time ago, when they told me I had an air of Ricky Martin.

“I took it as a joke, but I started to make some changes and the likeness increased.”

He then decided to go all the way, saying: “I got a photo of him, I realized that I liked him and, like everything in life, when I like something, I go for it.”

However, Francisco, who said he was “born for television and cameras” and “feel[s] incredible” when people ask him for a selfie in the street, now admits that he regrets changing his appearance to look like someone else.
Despite now having spent around $8,254 on cosmetic procedures, he said: “Now I am able to realize that the ideal thing is to be yourself, not someone else.

“But it took a while to realize that.”

In a recent interview on Argentinian TV channel Cronica HD, the Ricky Martin lookalike acknowledged his cosmetic surgery habit, saying: “I think that, at some point in your life, addiction develops and then gets worse.”

Fortunately, this man had a moment of realization and managed to overcome his addiction before it reached a critical and potentially fatal stage.

But on a side note, how did he only spend just over $8,000 on 30 surgeries?

Here in the U.S. that would cost close to half a million!
