Recently, a woman shared her unfortunate experience on TikTok, revealing how she accidentally applied glue to her eyes instead of the intended eye drops. Consequently, she endured a distressing ordeal that ultimately led to an emergency room visit due to the excruciating pain she experienced.
From The Messenger:
"Well, I've gone and done it. I have won the most idiot person award," Jennifer Eversole, who goes by the handle “mamaeversole,” said in a TikTok post.
In her post, Eversole said her eyedrops were directly next to super glue and she inadvertently squeezed the glue into her left eye.
She said said she experienced "intense burning, really bad burning” which “felt hot” prompting her to quickly shut her eye tight.
“I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing because it didn't get on my eyeball that much. And maybe it wouldn't have glued my eyes shut if I hadn't shut them, but I don't know what would have happened, ” she said in a follow-up Tik Tok post.
Doctors were able to get her eye open but the recovery process involved days of numbing drops, blurry vision, and itchy discomfort, she said.
Eversole explained that the mix-up occurred after she gave her daughter a manicure and left the glue bottle, which was identical in size and color to the eyedrops on the same dresser.
My daughter “wanted to have fake nails and she's a teenager so I did glue and press ons. My mistake is that I didn't put it away afterwards and I remember thinking I should probably put that away so that nobody mistakes those eye drops , which is exactly what happened.”
That poor woman! Can you imagine the horror of going days with having your eye being clouded by super glue?
Sounds terrible.
