Did Elon Just Kill Barbie?

Spoiler alert: The new Barbie movie is woke.

It's not a huge shock, given that it's co-written by Greta Gerwig, an openly progressive director with an axe to grind against the patriarchy. But on its surface, the Barbie movie just looks like a fun-loving film that many young girls would be extremely interested to see, and clearly, that's the case as the film has already made huge waves at the box office, raking in $155 million domestically.

However, Elon Musk is sounding the alarm, warning moviegoers not to play drinking games while watching Barbie, saying, "If you take a shot every time Barbie says the word 'patriarchy,' you will pass out before the movie ends," Musk declared.

Musk has long been a vocal opponent of the radical “woke” agenda.

As Slay News previously reported, Musk has called the woke mind virus “arguably one of the biggest threats to modern civilization.”

In 2021, he referenced it in relation to the satirical site The Onion, saying, “It’s just seems to have been in recent years affected by the woke mind virus.

“That just makes everything less funny.

“Woke mind virus is a world without humor.”

“Wokeness basically wants to make comedy illegal,” he continued.

“At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful.”

Director Greta Gerwig, who also co-wrote “Barbie,” told Vogue that she wrote an abstract poem about Barbie and compared it to the Apostles’ Creed, the affirmation of certain core Christian beliefs.

“Ken was invented after Barbie to burnish Barbie’s position in our eyes and in the world,” Gerwig said.

“That kind of creation myth is the opposite of the creation myth in Genesis.”

One of the characters in the film gives a speech in which she complains, “It is literally impossible to be a woman. …

“You have to answer for men’s bad behavior, which is insane, but if you point that out, you’re accused of complaining. … never forget that the system is rigged. …

“I’m just so tired of watching myself and every single other woman tie herself into knots so that people will like us.”

Good grief...

Why can't anyone in Hollywood simply make a movie these days without stuffing it with their own personal political agenda?

It's a shame; this movie really did have the potential to be something lighthearted and fun. But, of course, the left's hatred of a strong masculine figure just had to be challenged in a movie about Barbie.
