Pregnant 17-Year-Old Electrocuted to Death After She Got Out of Bathtub and Charged Her Phone

Seventeen-year-old Jennifer Karolayne, along with her unborn child, tragically lost their lives in an unfortunate event at her residence in Paraiba, Brazil. Despite the swift response of paramedics on the early morning of August 17, Jennifer had already passed away.

According to her unnamed husband, Jennifer suffered an electrocution accident while attempting to charge her phone using an extension cord after getting out of the bath.

From The Sun UK:

He said he heard an "unusually loud noise" and a scream before finding her unresponsive on the ground.

Jennifer's husband told emergency crews he tried to help her, but also received an electric shock.

Chief Ramirison Pedro, from the Campina Grande Homicide Police Station, said that the case is being treated as an accident.

He added that the case will still be investigated, however.

Jennifer was nine months pregnant, according to her mother-in-law.

It's just devastating that something so awful could happen to someone so young and expecting a child.

We all know that water and electronics don't go together, but sometimes we forget that in the moment. Sadly, that's exactly what happened to Jennifer.

Our thoughts are with her family, and we hope they can find some healing through this incredibly sad situation.
