This has sparked widespread concern regarding the enigmatic nature of the illness, causing anxiety among parents who are seeking both answers and protection for their daughters.
Here is one of the distressing clips depicting these girls struggling to walk normally.

From Oddity Central:
Bernard Wesonga, Kakamega County’s CEC for Health, told journalists that blood, urine, and stool samples have been collected and sent for extensive testing to determine the cause of the unknown illness, but so far, the exact cause of the girls’ paralysis has not been established. Meanwhile, the school has reportedly been closed indefinitely.
The dozens of girls at St. Theresa’s Eregi Girls High School affected by the mysterious condition reported their legs feeling numb and immobile. Some of them also experienced severe headaches, vomiting, and fever. Luckily, many of them have already started getting better.
“Some students are responding positively to medication, while others are still under medical care,” Bernard Wesonga said.
The local government has urged parents to monitor their children closely while health officials work to identify the causes of the mysterious condition and establish measures of containment.
This is incredibly disturbing to witness.
I hope and pray that officials in that area can uncover the root cause of this peculiar epidemic before it escalates beyond control.
