These savory delights undergo hours of slow cooking, transforming into a juicy perfection that's conveniently accessible at grocery stores worldwide.
Now, who wouldn't be tempted to grab one for a speedy and satisfying meal?
Hold that thought. Picture this: a harrowing tale from Australia involving a woman who discovered living maggots making themselves at home on her chicken. Suddenly, that extra layer of caution seems like a wise move, doesn't it?
From Pulse Hobart:
A customer has issued a warning to other shoppers after she went to eat a hot roast chicken purchased from a Tasmanian supermarket that reportedly contained maggots.
The chicken was reportedly bought from Woolworths in Wynyard at 4:50pm from a batch prepared at 4:33pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The woman was quick to share the find in a local Facebook group, saying: “It sat completely sealed until 7pm when we opened it, started eating and found maggots all throughout the chicken.”
“If you bought one from that batch id recommend checking it thoroughly.”
It’s the second time maggots have allegedly been found in a cooked chicken purchased from different stores in the area this year.
