Reports suggest that when aides pulled Biden aside to fill him in on just how far he's fallen behind Trump in crucial battlegrounds, Joe didn't take it well. There were some choice words, some raised voices, and a whole lot of evident anger and stress.
Now, let's be real here – if this is how Biden reacts to some bad news on the campaign trail, how can we expect him to handle the pressures of leading a nation? When things aren't going your way, a leader needs to show some composure and resilience, not start yelling at the messengers who are simply delivering the cold, hard facts.
From Western Journal:
The report said, “In a private meeting at the White House in January, allies of the president had just told him that his poll numbers in Michigan and Georgia had dropped over his handling of the war between Israel and Hamas.
“Both are battleground states he narrowly won four years ago, and he can’t afford any backsliding if he is to once again defeat Donald Trump. He began to shout and swear, a lawmaker familiar with the meeting said.”
At the core of Biden’s ire, per those who were at the meeting, was that Biden believed he had done his job correctly and was not getting the credit he felt he was owed on the economy.
Biden has also reportedly had it out with his advisers regarding his campaign’s messaging strategy.
According to the report, the president has “on occasion directed his ire at his tightknit senior staff” because his messaging on jobs has not resonated with voters.
