A couple years ago at World Economic Forum, an architect unveiled the concept of the "five-minute city." Imagine a colossal glass mall where residents are essentially trapped in their everyday routines. It's all a bit dystopian, to be frank, but supposedly, it provides all your necessities within a mere five-minute stroll.
Naturally, not everyone is sold on these blueprints. Conservative commentator James Wood shared what he dubbed a "horror movie" depiction of one of these proposed 15-minute cities, and many others also find it quite unsettling.
