The Los Angeles Times was the first to disclose that Lara Trump, who is wed to former President Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump, is no longer a paid contributor for Fox News as a result of her father-in-2024 law’s declaration.
Lara Trump, who joined Fox News as a contributor last year, will no longer get payment to appear on the network, the network said on Saturday to the Los Angeles Times.
A Fox News spokesman said in a statement that was given to Insider: “We value Lara’s vital contributions throughout FOX News Media programming.”
The Los Angeles Times reports that her resignation was caused by business policies that prohibit anybody directly involved in or running for office from working for the network.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the network determined that Lara Trump had a close relationship to her father-in-political law’s campaign. She served as the former president’s surrogate and was compensated for her advising services.
According to the publication, she last appeared on Fox News during the week of November 15, when the former president declared his third bid for the presidency. Theoretically, she can still appear as an unpaid contributor.
Such choices have previously been made; Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ paid contributor agreement was ended when she declared her candidacy for governor of Arkansas.
Rupert Murdoch, a media billionaire, owns Fox. The Guardian reports that Murdoch has informed Trump that his media conglomerate will not support his presidential campaign. After the election results were dismal for Republicans, his publications, notably the Wall Street Journal, referred to Trump as a “failure.”
The eldest son of Rupert Murdoch, Lachlan Murdoch, reportedly told Florida Governor Ron DeSantis that the media conglomerate would support him if he ran against Trump in 2024, according to The Guardian.
