February 1st, 2023, 10:38 CST – The Delaware beach house where President Biden maintains a personal residence is where the FBI is currently looking for sensitive documents. According to the Guardian, Bob Bauer, a personal attorney for Biden, discussed the “planned search” at the Rehoboth Beach house on Wednesday and said that the president had provided his “full support and cooperation.” “Sought to undertake this work without advance public awareness, and we decided to collaborate,” he continued. According to CNBC, authorities failed to secure a search warrant.

After Biden’s own attorneys discovered classified materials there on January 11, authorities already performed a comprehensive search of his residence in Wilmington, Delaware, and discovered six more items on that date. The Rehoboth Beach residence was also searched by Biden’s attorneys, who reported no meaningful results. The search conducted today is a further step in a comprehensive and prompt DOJ process, which Bauer said his office would continue to fully support and encourage. “We will have more information after the hunt for today is through.”

The FBI searched Biden’s former office space at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, DC, where the first classified documents linked to the president were found in early November; the search was carried out days after that initial discovery, according to CBS News, which first reported the search. The search had not previously been made public. Between 25 and 30 documents marked classified have been found in total by federal agents in Mr. Biden’s Wilmington home and office, according to CBS.
