During Thursday's episode of The Story, Conway and Juan Williams, a fellow Fox News contributor, got into a fight.
In a document published earlier in the day, the House Oversight Committee claimed that family of President Joe Biden received $1.3 million from a person connected to China between 2015 and 2017 while Biden was vice president and shortly after. Payments were made to Biden's brother, daughter-in-law, son, and an unnamed family member. Chairman James Comer stated, "It is unclear what services were delivered to obtain this outrageous amount of money" (R-KY).
Martha MacCallum discussed the investigations into Trump and if his 2016 campaign coordinated with Russia in order to win the election on The Story.
Millions of dollars were spent on extensive studies, and the issue of "what are they getting in return" persisted. said MacCallum. So, when you look at this financial transaction, do you have the same question for the Biden family? What did China receive in exchange? Does that require knowledge among Americans?
Williams claimed there is no proof Biden personally got any money or that anything shady was taking place. I can't say that there is a connection, he replied. "What we have is an anonymous check written to a widow from someone who was paid by the Chinese. We don't know what was done with this money. Before she received any payment from the Chinese, the same person had really sent her checks.
Williams then referred to Kushner, a real estate tycoon's descendant who worked as an adviser in the Trump White House, along with his wife and the president's daughter Ivanka Trump.
Why don't you look into stuff like Jared Kushner receiving $2 billion from the Saudis right after the former president Trump boasted about protecting the Saudi prince? Williams questioned Trump's leniency toward the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia after American intelligence linked him to the assassination of a Washington Post journalist.
Kellyanne, is that a legitimate query regarding Jared Kushner? enquired MacCallum. Amazingly, Conway acknowledged that Kushner made billions of dollars from Trump's presidency.
Jared is the only person who has, in my opinion, benefited monetarily from the Trump administration, with a capital B. Of course," she retorted. But look, I don't think whataboutism will work in this situation.
