DeSantis Rips New York Prosecutor While Taking jab At Donald Trump 'Paying Hush Money'

Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized both sides in his first statement to the public over the potential indictment of Florida resident and former President Donald Trump on Monday. According to the New York Times, when asked about the case and whether he may be involved in any extradition to New York, DeSantis avoided answering, saying he doesn't know what will happen.

But I do know this: The Manhattan district attorney is a prosecutor who receives funding from Soros, he continued. George Soros, a billionaire who frequently contributes to Democratic candidates and causes and is frequently vilified by Republicans, provided Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney, with indirect financial support in the 2021 election.

The Florida governor claimed that "they weaponize their authority to impose a political agenda on society at the expense of the rule of law and public safety" like other Soros-funded prosecutors.

When discussing the payments made to Stormy Daniels, who claimed to have an affair with Trump, he later added commentary. I have no idea what goes into paying a porn star hush money to get them to keep quiet about an alleged affair, DeSantis added. I simply am unable to comment on that. According to the Hill, Trump, his adversary for the support of the Republican Party, took notice of his remarks.

Later that day, Trump wrote on Truth Social, "Ron DeSanctimonious will probably learn about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FALSE STORIES some time in the future, as he becomes older, wiser, and better recognized. "I'm sure he'll want to take on these outcasts just like I do," I said. DeSantis had been under pressure from the former president and his supporters to make a decision regarding the Trump issue.
