The incident started when a Taboo employee called the police on Wednesday to report that a naked man had just passed the eatery on Worth Avenue in full view of many diners. Bystanders swiftly identified the individual to police when they arrived.
Smith admitted to police that he had forgotten where he had put his garments. He allegedly refused to provide the police his name or birthdate.
He was taken to the police headquarters to be questioned by officers. Authorities reported that he persisted in refusing to reveal his name.
The individual identified himself and then informed authorities that neither an ID card nor a social security number were in his possession.
The arrest record states that Smith initially claimed police he lived on a foreign planet, but eventually admitted to living in West Palm Beach.
Smith is still detained in Palm Beach County.
