After receiving a 911 call from a lady reporting an attack, the NYPD released a statement confirming the arrest of the "Creed III" and "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" star. Majors, 33, was arrested and charged with strangling, assault, and harassment after the victim was transported to the hospital.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Majors said that the actor "had done nothing wrong" in response to the allegations.
We hope to soon be able to clear his name and this up," the statement read. At at 11:14 a.m. ET on Saturday, police responded to a call in the 10 Precinct.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a man aged 33 and a woman aged 30 were involved in a domestic altercation. The attack victim reported it to the authorities. The 33-year-old guy was taken into custody by police without any problems. The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition after suffering minor injuries to her head and neck, according to the report.
On Saturday night, The Associated Press confirmed with the New York Police Department that Majors was no longer in jail.
The Yale graduate and rising Hollywood star was recently seen co-presenting best cinematography at the Oscars with Michael B. Jordan.
Majors has recently joined the MCU as Kang the Conqueror, and he will be the main attraction in "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty," which will be released in 2025. Majors, who was nominated for an Emmy for his role in HBO's "Lovecraft County," fought alongside Jordan as Damian Anderson in the third installment of the "Creed" series.
In the 2022 film Devotion, he played a real-life Navy flyer named Jesse Brown, and in 2023's "Magazine Dreams," he played an amateur bodybuilder.
