Experts Reveal What the Year 2050 Will Look Like - And It’s All Based on Some Big Predictions

It seems like since the printing press was invented, "experts" have been weighing in on what life will look like decades into the future.

Sometimes these predictions are optimistic, but other times they can be quite dark, and what experts are predicting for 2050 is more so the ladder.

They predict that roughly 30 years into the future we'll have made some type of contact with aliens, people will have micro chips implanted into their bodies, portions of the earth will be inhabitable and AI will start to pose a real problem to humanity.

Though the threat of artificial intelligence is what seems to have most of these experts on guard.

As reported by The Daily Mail, people are focused on AI potentially causing job losses - but the reality could be far worse.

That's according to George Stakhov, chief strategy officer for the global ad agency DDB EMEA who created an AI tool named 'The Uncreative Agency'.

Stakhov said: 'People tend to overestimate the effects of new technology in the short run and underestimate those effects in the long run. This is known as Amara's Law.

'Right now we are at the peak of AI hype and people are panicking about white-collar jobs being destroyed by GPT-4 in the next few years. That seems like an exaggeration.

But by 2050, AI will have 'profoundly' reshaped the world, Stakhov warns.

He said: 'There is a dark AI future where those who control AI will gain huge power, while 99 percent of the population will be disenfranchised. The AI lords will control the world's data and turn the rest of us into their serfs.
'The alternative is a bright AI scenario, where everyone benefits from AI through better healthcare, faster transport and less pollution.

The growing presence of AI in our day to day lives is certainly hard to predict.

Here is a video which paints a much less bleak image of what's to come in 2050:

Advanced technology has always brought an equal amount of fear and wonder throughout history, and sometimes those fears have been proven wrong.

Or true...

What do you think? Is AI something that needs to more regulated?
