News Station Fires New Anchor Whose First Words On-Air Were “F*ckin’ Sh*t!”

This story is 10 years old, but it’s making the rounds online again, thanks to a popular Reddit post. I had never heard of it, so I thought I’d share it.

We've all heard the phrase, "you don't get a second chance to make a first impression." Well, a guy named A.J. Clemente took that to heart when he began his brand new anchoring career at local news station KFYR, the NBC affiliate in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Unfortunately for A.J., his first impression wasn’t very good and he may hold the record for shortest news-anchoring job in history, thanks to his unforgettable opening line, "Fuckin' shit!"

What was this guy thinking? He was nervous. Needless to say, he got fired.

Oh boy… I looked A.J. up, hoping to see what he was up to now, and all I could find was a report that he ended up working as a bartender after losing his job.

Poor A.J. He tweeted this out right after he was fired.

Well, you can’t win them all, but AJ certainly seems to have a good attitude. Let’s hope he’s doing great as a bartender or whatever he’s up to these days.
