The tragedy that claimed Sienna's life occurred while she was doing what she loved - horseback riding. A fall from her horse at Windsor Polo Grounds in her native Australia on April 2 led to her hospitalization at Westmead Hospital.
Despite her fierce fighting spirit, Sienna succumbed to her injuries and passed away after two days on life support.
New York Post reported that the burgeoning social media influencer’s final Instagram posts were quickly flooded with tributes to the young rising star who “lit up every room,” according to one friend who added, “Heaven has gained the most beautiful angel today. I’ll miss everything about you [Sienna], I love you.”
Her boyfriend Tom Bull added, “We loved with a love that was more than love,” according to local outlets.
Weir’s modeling agency, Scoop Management, also posted a video tribute along with a photo of the smiling equestrian along with the caption, “Forever in our hearts.”
Weir had a double degree in English literature and psychology from Sydney University, and had previously told local outlets she was planning a move to the UK to pursue her career and “spend more time with my sister, niece and nephew and expand both my professional and social network.”
The equestrian often spoke about her passion for “cuddle monster” horses and English literature — “especially Gothic poetry” — and how both set her apart from the 26 other contestants vying for the 2022 Miss Universe Australia crown.
“Although I’ve lived most of my life in the city, I have a deep and unmoving love for show jumping,” she told Gold Coast Magazine in September 2022. “My family isn’t quite sure where this passion came from, but I’ve been horse-riding since I was 3 years old and can’t imagine my life without it.”
This tragic accident has cut short a life that was full of promise and potential.
