The Guy Behind That Crazy Viral “Blue/Black” Dress Debate is Charged With Trying To Murder His Wife

In 2015, a Scottish man gained notoriety when a dress worn by his mother-in-law went viral, causing a significant division on the internet over its perceived colors, black-and-blue or gold-and-white. However, the same individual, Keir Johnston, is now facing attempted murder charges.

Keir Johnston stands charged with the attempted murder of his wife, Grace Johnston. Over a span of eleven years, he allegedly subjected his wife to a series of domestic abuses, culminating in an extremely violent incident last March. It is claimed that he pinned her to the ground and applied pressure to her neck in an attempt to end her life.

From New York Post

Keir denied all allegations against him, including that he repeatedly assaulted his wife at their home before brandishing a knife and attempting to strangle her.

Other allegations stemming from incidents between April 2019 and March 2022 include allegedly pushing Grace against a wall, shouting at her and throttling her.

He allegedly tried to get into a vehicle she was in and hit her through an open window, as well as another alleged incident where Keir put his wife in a headlock and dragged her out of a pub after she refused to leave with him.

Keir also allegedly isolated Grace from her friends and family, as well as monitoring her money to decide how much of it she could have access to.

Good grief, what a psychopath!

IIt is unsettling to contemplate that someone who once shared something light-hearted and enjoyable could possess the capacity for such violence and darkness.

This serves as a stark reminder of how the internet enables individuals to conceal their true nature behind a facade.
