Luckiest Person Alive? - Maryland Man Won $50,000 in State Lottery 5 Times This Year From Same Gas Station

I think we all daydream about winning the lottery. You know, you walk into a gas station with all these hopeful thoughts, only to have your excitement crushed when your tickets turn out to be duds. Let's face it, hitting the jackpot in the lottery is like finding a needle in a haystack.

But here's something mind-boggling: there's this guy from Maryland who has managed to win not once, not twice, but a jaw-dropping five times in the past year. And what's even more unbelievable is that he bought all those winning tickets from the exact same gas station. I mean, talk about a lucky streak!

From Patch

The 43-year-old Montgomery County resident claimed a combined $200,000 Pick 5 prize in May comprised of four $50,000 winning tickets.

The lucky Pick 5 player purchased his latest winning ticket from the Hyattsville Convenience Store, which is where he'd bought his earlier winning tickets.

The big difference in winnings came about because the man bought four tickets with the same winning numbers in May. This time around, he played 98557 on only one ticket in the July 10 game. That was still good enough for him to win $50,000.

The Silver Spring winner told lottery officials that he had no plans for his latest winnings, although he did say he was going to continue playing Pick 5.

Hyattsville Convenience Store located at 2230 University Blvd. East will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning Pick 5 ticket worth $50,000.

ILet me tell you, that gas station better brace itself for a wave of customers who will be flocking there in hopes of getting their hands on that mystical winning ticket.

Who knows, I might just be tempted to take a spontaneous trip to Maryland myself...
