Recently in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Trump attracted a massive crowd at a Dairy Queen where he entertained customers and even helped staff hand out blizzards. He was truly electrifying.
So, naturally, Ron DeSantis attempted to pull off the same PR stunt, but it turned out to be a complete flop. Ron awkwardly stood in a nearly empty Dairy Queen, just rattling off political talking points to a small local press pool. It felt very forced, especially when compared to Trump's visit, which had an exciting and spontaneous vibe to it.

From Western Journal:
The problem for DeSantis is that he is attempting to mimic Trump’s successful campaign strategies without truly grasping the charisma that endeared Trump to his base. Imitation may be the best form of flattery, but it’s no substitute for authenticity.
Trump and DeSantis have pretty clearly separated themselves from the rest of the crowded GOP primary field.
As for the head-to-head between Trump and DeSantis? The governor asked Americans to “Just watch.”
So far, what Americans are watching just isn’t that impressive.
That truly is the issue for DeSantis, he lacks all charisma. The guy is about as exciting as wet towel.
However, Trump, on the other hand, is remarkably genuine and charming. People can connect with him because he doesn't act like your average politician. That's a significant reason why people still passionately support him. Unfortunately for DeSantis, he simply can't avoid behaving like a typical D.C. swamp creature.
