[VIDEO] UA Airlines Pilot Goes Berserk in Parking Lot with an Ax…

Sometimes, it's those little things at your job that drive you right to the brink of madness. And then, one day, you just reach your breaking point and snap.

For one United Airlines pilot, this is exactly what happened when he was dealing with a car park barrier at Denver International Airport, a barrier that's notorious for causing issues and, wouldn't you know it, refused to open once again. Kenneth Jones, a 63-year-old pilot with just a few years left until retirement, took things a bit too far. He fetched an axe from his vehicle and went to town on that barrier, venting all his frustration.

Well, as you might expect, Jones is now facing a suspension for his out-of-control behavior.

Watch the video:

From The Daily Mail:

Airport video footage shows the uniformed pilot striding towards the barrier in the staff car park carrying an ax which he is thought to have had in his vehicle.

As motorists look on open-mouthed he vigorously swings the ax at the gate 23 times until it finally flips off its hinge, leaving the exit open.

Police deputies in Adams County say he told them he 'just hit his breaking point', and was ‘trying to get rid of issues for everyone’.

Authorities at the airport admitted to CBS News Colorado that there was an issue with delays at the gate because many users do not have the correct permit.

Jones told police he launched his August 2 attack after seeing six cars in line at each of the three exit gates as he was trying to leave.

Looks like Jones got his retirement a few years earlier than expected.

And perhaps it's a good thing, 'cause he clearly seemed pretty fed up with his job.

Also, side note: who the heck just carries an axe in their vehicle? Unless you're a lumberjack, this is quite an odd tool to be casually toting around...
