At 59 years old, the country music legend, Craig Morgan, proved his unwavering patriotism by reenlisting in the Army. It was an incredible moment, with a packed audience at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville witnessing the event. Joining him on stage were respected military figures, Gen. Andrew Poppas and Sgt. Maj. Todd Sims, along with Senator Marsha Blackburn.
The inspiration for this decision came after a conversation with Blackburn in 2022, where they discussed the low Army recruitment numbers. This touched Morgan's heart, and he decided to follow his emotions and reenlist. Mind you, before this, he had already served his country for an impressive 17 years, with a decade of active duty under his belt. Now, with pride and devotion, he renewed his commitment to the nation and its call of duty.

From The Daily Caller:
The only problem was Morgan’s age. He was 58 at the time, and the mandatory retirement age for the Army is 62. That’s when Blackburn stepped in and made sure Morgan’s dream came true.
“I realized that there’s so much that I’ve missed — the friends, the feeling of the sense of accomplishment,” Morgan said of his decision, Stripes reported. “I realized that I’ve missed it so much and I truly believe that I still have more to give.”
Morgan will now hold the rank of Staff Sergeant and Warrant Officer, and he plans to continue recording, releasing, and touring with his music, Fox noted.
Having seen Morgan perform up here in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, I can honestly say this move doesn’t surprise me. I’ve never met someone with more respect, faith, and passion for his country and his fellow countrymen.
Good grief, please excuse me while I go ball my eyes out!
This man is a true and unwavering patriot.
The world would be a much better place if we had more Sergeant Morgan's walking this Earth.
