Ryan Samsel, who has been in custody since January 2021, finds himself in a state of uncertainty with no trial date on the horizon. His detention has entailed transfers to a staggering 17 different facilities.
Over the course of his incarceration spanning more than two years, Samsel has reportedly faced allegations of physical abuse, torment, and neglect. His confinement has taken place in a small enclosure reminiscent of a broom closet.
Within this cramped space, Samsel is kept under constant surveillance, illuminated at all times. The chamber is minimally furnished, housing only a thin blue mattress and lacking sheets, covers, or proper attire. These conditions are reported to have persisted for a duration of five months at the Central Regional Virginia Jail.
Adding to the distress, reports suggest that Samsel has been forced to use a bucket as an improvised restroom, further highlighting the fact that these people are being treated worse than animals.
This is proof of blatant human rights abuse and is wrong on every level.

I’m currently looking at all means possible to stop the abuse.
When will people finally wake up and start recognizing that political persecution should NOT happen in America?? https://t.co/vj1oGrcU7z
From Gateway Pundit:
Ryan told The Gateway Pundit in a conversation this week, “I was kept in … a hard cell. And in that particular cell about five, six months. I even told you what was happening is the judge was actually calling, trying to get in contact with me because I wasn’t in a named cell. They were missing me and they were saying I wasn’t showing up to court. They were saying I wasn’t showing up to medical. But they were pretty much keeping me in there… Like I said, it was cold, the light was on, there’s zero window. And that followed me from Virginia. When I was in Virginia, it was the same exact conditions.”
Ryan described the same situation in Virginia, “It was Central Regional Virginia Jail (CVRJ). I was kept in and they called it booking hard cell, which is you get zero phone, zero commissary, zero clothing because they think that you’re going to hang yourself and you’re on constant surveillance. You’re under surveillance constantly. The light has to be on 24/7. You’re locked in a cell. There is no getting out. The windows in Virginia were covered by a black mat, so you weren’t able to see. And it’s constant nothing. It’s deprivation of everything.”
I don't care what side of this aisle you're on; this treatment is absolutely disgusting.
The conditions that Samsel is enduring look like something similar to what we see of prisoners in China or North Korea. It's extremely disturbing that mistreatment like this is going on here in America.
