During a segment on his podcast with fellow Democrat James Carville, the two discussed the extreme tactics the left is employing and how it's inevitably going to blow up in their face. Maher believes that the far-left has driven the Democrats to become so out of touch with the average American that this will indeed lead to their downfall to Trump.

Carville, a former Bill Clinton advisor, slammed the Democrats as “stupid” and “naive.”
Bill Maher agreed and declared that Democrat President Joe Biden cannot win re-election in 2024.
He warned that Biden will lose to President Donald Trump if he even makes onto the Democrats’ ticket.
“I find the Left to be just annoying,” Carville said.
“The western far left is habitually the most stupid, naive people you can imagine.
“They come up with these really goofy constructs and it’s all about feeling good about yourself.
“Most people don’t even know what they’re talking about.
“The identity Left are silly.
“They’re not evil, they’re just goofy.”
Maher said: “If your feelings are hurt, that’s more important than free speech.”
Carville added: “What happened is, overeducated, coastal white people, got ahold of the word and like they do with everything else, they completely f*cked it up and pissed everybody in the country off.
“If we could just get the humanities faculty at Amherst College to shut the f*ck up, we’d be a lot better off.”
Carville said of a recent CNN poll that found that two-thirds of Democrat voters do not want Biden to run again, “That’s a big f*cking number.”
Maher then predicted that Biden will lose to Trump.
“In 2020, maybe he was the only one who could have beaten Trump, I think now he’s the only one who will lose to him,” the liberal talk show host said.
“He will lose because at some point perception becomes reality.
“He cannot run for president, he’ll look bad in the debates,” Maher asserted.
“He will be Ruth Bader Biden —it’s not a good look.”
Any sane person can see that the left has truly lost their minds. The identity politics they're promoting have alienated them from normal society, yet they seem to keep doubling down and appear blind to the fact that this will destroy them.
The far-left portion of the Democratic Party is in its death throes, and they seem to be clinging on for dear life.
