Unfortunately, one of the wings failed, resulting in a fatal crash in which the pilot died upon impact.
One of the most shocking aspects of this whole incident is that the couple appeared entirely unconcerned about the pilot's condition and continued to celebrate their gender reveal unphased.

From The New York Post:
The doomed Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee fills the San Pedro sky with pink smoke, while confetti appears to be shot out of a cannon on the ground.
The plane’s left wing then seems to give way as the pilot — who was later identified as Luis Ángel N., 32 — pulls the small plane upwards, sending the aircraft spiraling out of control.
Meanwhile, on the ground, attendees seem totally unaware of the terrifying ordeal unfolding in the sky.
According to a local news outlet, authorities found the pilot lying in the wreckage of the plane after a concerned partygoer called for help Saturday.
Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, where he died.
The tragic video has since gone viral and reignited the debate surrounding gender reveals.
“These gender reveal parties are getting out of hand when people die annually because of them,” slammed one X user.
“The way the camera panned back to the couple with not the slightest care in the world for the pilot is sad,” wrote one disgusted user.
“For a moment I actually thought all the screaming was because they saw the plane,” stated a third. “But no, it looks and sounds like only the cameraman noticed (at least initially).”
How incredibly self-absorbed can one be?
These gender reveal parties are becoming increasingly excessive. It appears as though they have turned into a competition where expectant parents continually attempt to outdo each other with extravagant, over-the-top stunts.
