In a recent discussion about his son's untimely demise, Harrison pointedly attributed a significant portion of the blame to Biden's border crisis. According to Harrison, the open borders exacerbate the fentanyl epidemic in America, and he fervently urges the government to address this issue with greater seriousness.
From New York Post:
“Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” Harrison, 58, told The Post in a statement on Monday, after Adam’s cause of death was first reported by TMZ.
“The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously,” he added. “It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
His rep said Adam died in Las Vegas and the family was notified Friday.
Harrison broke his silence on Adam’s death on Instagram the same day.
“You will always be in my heart!” Harrison wrote beneath a photo that showed him smiling alongside his look-alike son in a bar. “I love you Adam.”
Adam’s brother, Corey, also penned an Instagram tribute, sharing an old baby picture of the two of them in a bathtub.
“Wax wtf I will always love you bubba,” he captioned the throwback photo.
Rick had Adam and Corey, 40, with his first wife, Kim. He also has a third son, Jake, with his second wife, Tracy.
Your heart truly goes out to Harrison. Losing a child is undeniably one of the most profound tragedies, and, regrettably, as Rick highlighted, the fentanyl crisis shows no signs of improvement. The open borders only seem to exacerbate the situation, allowing illegal and perilous drugs to circulate more freely.
Unless our government steps up to address this issue earnestly and takes concrete steps to secure our borders, it's unfortunately probable that we'll witness more tragedies like Adam's, with others falling victim to these hazardous opioids.
