The thought of suddenly coming into a massive amount of cash is enough to make anyone's head spin. Just imagine all the possibilities: paying off debts, finally buying that dream house, making smart investments, and, let's be honest, treating yourself and your loved ones to a little extra luxury.
But let's talk about Janathan Vargas, the guy who flipped the script on what to do with a lottery win. At a mere 19 years old, he snagged a jaw-dropping $35 million jackpot in the U.S. Instead of taking the traditional route of financial prudence, he decided to live out his fantasy of becoming the next Hugh Hefner. Vargas took a chunk of his winnings and dove headfirst into creating his own version of the Playboy lifestyle.
From The Mirror:
In one of the strangest purchases a lottery winner has ever made, the teen then splashed out cash to create his very own all-female wrestling TV show, which he titled Wrestlicious Takedown. The show saw Jonathon meeting 20 women in just two weeks who all competed for his attention.
The trailer explained the lottery winner was ready to settle down and marry his girlfriend, but wanted to test his love by potentially discovering a better match for him. He said: "When I won this money, I never planned on getting married, ever. I was like f*** that. Then I met Shana. I knew she was the one, we hit it off, she's been with me ever since. At one point I did wonder if she was with me for the money."
He added: "Yeah I wanna find true love and I'm willing to do whatever it takes." Commenting on the first time he saw all 20 women, Jonathan said: "The door opens, all I see is a** everywhere, everywhere."
During the introduction to the show, Jonathan is surrounded by glamorous women. He joins in with rapping wrestlers with his own verse: "I'm JV Rich and I own the show, I got the ring, I got the bling, I got the dough. I have with the ladies that nobody disses, cause all my girls are Wrestlicious."
The all-female wrestling series, as well as JV's Crib, a reality show that explored his lavish mansion, aired two years after his huge win thanks to a partnership with former wrestling and TV producer, Johnny Cafarella. But after the first series, which consisted of 13 episodes, Wrestlicious Takedown never hit screens again following appalling reviews.
