RNC Chairman Tells Dems When GOP Candidates Will Eventually Accept Midterm Election Results

Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, implied on Sunday that GOP candidates would eventually accept the results of this week’s midterm elections.

“Every one of your Republican candidates will accept their results, even if they lose, when the procedure is completed and the votes are certified?” McDaniel was questioned by co-anchor Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

McDaniel said, “They will,” adding that she thought Republicans will win the House and Senate.

The discussion took place shortly after Bash broadcast a clip of Sen. Ron Johnson (Wis.) answering a reporter who asked the incumbent senator’s vulnerable question about whether he would concede if the results showed he had lost.

Johnson retorted, “I sure hope I can, but I can’t foretell what the Democrats could have prepared.”

Kari Lake, a Republican candidate for governor of Arizona, has likewise declined on numerous occasions to state if she would accept the results, including in an interview with Bash last month.

McDaniel advised Bash to request a recount on Sunday. “You should conduct a survey; the case will then be heard in court, and everyone involved should accept the findings. That is how it ought to be. However, I’m also not going to claim that if there are issues, we shouldn’t be able to solve them.

After losing to Gov. Brian Kemp in 2018, Stacey Abrams, the Democratic nominee for governor of Georgia, was criticized by McDaniel for her refusal to accept defeat. Tuesday’s rematch between Abrams and Kemp is scheduled.

After exhausting all of their options, Ron Johnson and Stacey Abrams, in my opinion, will accept the outcomes, McDaniel said to Bash.

In order to set herself apart from former President Trump’s false allegations of election fraud in 2020, Abrams has pointed out that she has acknowledged Kemp’s certification as governor. But Abrams persisted in saying “I won” and “the system is rigged” in the months that followed the election.

According to McDaniel on CNN, the Democrats “are inflation deniers, crime deniers, and education deniers.” “The American people are not talking about this.”
