AOC Defends Biden’s Idea Of Banning Gas Stoves

In a heated Twitter exchange on Tuesday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) attempted to defend President Biden’s planned ban on gas stoves, only to come under fire from cynical internet users. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) declared he would “NEVER” give up his gas stove, prompting AOC to tweet, “Did you know that ongoing exposure to NO2 from gas stoves is connected to lower cognitive performance.”

The congresswoman’s attempt at retaliation, however, backfired as her critics — largely politicians and right groups — piled on quickly.

Max Avery, a former candidate for the Arkansas state legislature, made a joke that said “is this an attack on @GordonRamsey.”

Other commentators found images of AOC and Kamala Harris using gas stoves, as well as images of Jill Biden, the first lady, who appeared to be preparing some spinach on a gas stovetop.
