The Justice Department is examining sensitive records from Vice President Biden’s administration that were discovered last autumn in a private office Biden had previously used, according to breaking news that the former president Donald Trump commented to on Monday.
When will the FBI search Joe Biden’s numerous residences, perhaps even the White House? When tweeting a CBS News piece about the discovery of the documents, Trump declared on his Truth Social account that “these records were obviously not declassified.”
According to Biden’s special counsel Richard Sauber, the Obama-Biden era documents were discovered by the president’s lawyers as they were cleaning out an office he used when he was an honorary professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington.

The National Archives received the files after being contacted by Biden’s legal team, according to Sauber. The U.S. attorney general for Chicago is allegedly currently reviewing the records with assistance from the White House.
Trump was making reference to the FBI’s execution of a search order at his Mar-a-Lago estate last summer, where detectives discovered more than a hundred secret documents retained after his tenure in the White House.
Because of how he handled the sensitive information, Trump is currently being investigated.
“I have a hunch nothing will happen! We were taught for months that this was traitorous… grounds for impeachment… & meriting the death penalty. Donald Trump Jr. retweeted the CBS piece and said on Twitter.
In contrast to Trump, whose team reportedly kept classified files despite pleas from the Archives to return them, Biden’s team immediately informed the Archives and turned over the records upon their discovery.
According to the Presidential Records Act, all presidential and vice presidential records must be delivered to the National Archives at the conclusion of each administration in order to ensure their preservation and the protection of sensitive information.
