More Problems For Ye! Los Angeles Office Landlord Wants Rent Paid Or The Rapper Removed

After the proprietor of Kanye “Ye” West’s Los Angeles “Yeezy” office filed for eviction, the rapper’s problems have only gotten worse. According to recent court records obtained by The Blast, a business by the name of CT Calabasas asserts that Yeezy Apparel is two months late on its rent.

If the whole amount of the rent is not paid, they want him out of their property immediately since he is a “illegal occupant.” According to claims, West’s business owes $63,254 in late rent. According to The Blast, the company claims in the lawsuit to have inked a contract with Kanye West’s business in 2015, when it was still known as West Brands Fashion. It is stated that Yeezy Apparel amalgamated with Kanye West’s other company in 2016, “thereby succeeding West Brand’s participation in the lease,” in 2016.

For the office space, Yeezy agreed to pay $31,477.40 a month in 2016. The landlord wants him to vacate since he claims he didn’t pay rent for November or December. The rapper and fashion designer have three days to pay CT Calabasas. The eviction notice stated, according to The Blast, “Within three days after serving of this notice on you, you must pay the amount of said rent in full or depart said premises and turn up possession of the same to the authorized agent for your landlord.”

In addition, it said “Legal action will be taken against you for custody of the property, forfeiture of the agreement, and any monetary damages permitted by law if you don’t pay or leave. You are further informed that if the rent is not paid in full within three (3) days as stated in this notice, the landlord will proclaim a forfeiture of the lease and does so hereby.”

“Past due rent of $63,254,” “reasonable attorneys’ expenses, forfeiture of the agreement, and damages at the rate from Jan. 1, 2023,” are the demands made by the building owner. Pin Up magazine highlights the Yeezy “design studio,” which takes up more than 15,000 square feet of area. The building, created by his longtime partner Willo Perron, reportedly includes creative rooms, a music studio, and production facilities for Yeezy clothes.

Due to a number of anti-Semitic remarks he made in interviews, West has lost a number of collaborations. Due to his public outbursts, Adidas canceled their agreement with him, lowering his net worth and perhaps lowering his monthly payments. According to Forbes, Yeezy’s contract with Adidas was worth $1.5 billion. The business made nearly $500 million in royalties and marketing fees in its first four years. After Adidas dumped him, West’s net worth reportedly fell by $400 million.
