According to a person familiar with the situation, Biden’s staffers have found at least one more batch of classified papers in a location other than the Washington office he used after leaving the Obama administration.
Biden staffers have been looking for any additional classified materials that might be in other locations he frequented since November following the discovery of documents with classified markings in his former office, according to the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing investigation.
Requests for response from the White House were not responded to. No statement was made by the Justice Department.

CBS News was the first to disclose on Monday that secret documents had been found in a room used by Biden after he left his position as vice president.
It was not immediately obvious what classification level, how many, or where exactly the extra records were located. It was also unclear when the extra papers were found and whether the hunt for any more secret information Biden may have from the Obama administration was over.
According to the source with knowledge of the situation, Biden’s staff has been searching through documents kept in locations other than his former Washington office to see if there are any further classified records that should be given to the National Archives for examination by the Justice Department.
In order to obtain a complete accounting of all classified materials that might have unintentionally been packed in boxes as Biden cleaned out the vice president’s office space in January 2017, the search was described as comprehensive.
The words “Special counsel” were tweeted by Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., in response to the NBC News report on the new materials.
The White House said on Monday that a “limited number of documents” that seemed to be from the Obama administration and had secret markings had been discovered on November 2 at a Washington think tank connected to Biden.
According to Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president, the papers were found by Biden’s lawyers as they prepared to leave their office space at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.

Biden told reporters on Tuesday that the discovery had “surprised” him and that he had no idea what the documents contained.
According to three congressional staffers, the chair and vice chair of the Senate intelligence committee have written to Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines requesting access to the classified materials, an assessment of the damage by the intelligence community, and briefings on both the Biden and Trump documents.
