Newsmax Host Rants Over Latest Durham Loss; We Were Told “Hold Our Breath”

Sean Spicer, the first press secretary for former President Donald Trump, expressed his indignation when a jury in Alexandria, Virginia, severely limited the scope of special counsel John Durham’s criminal investigation into the FBI’s Russia investigation.

When Russian national Igor Danchenko was acquitted on four counts of making false statements on Tuesday, Spicer, who co-hosts the Newsmax program Spicer & Co., responded immediately. Danchenko was accused of lying to the FBI about his sources for the now-discredited anti-Trump dossier.

“We’ve been ordered to hold our breath because there will be more, so please wait patiently. This is so terrible that I don’t even believe the word “disappointing” does it justice “stated Spicer. “This is really the latest episode in the Right’s ordeal, which also includes the numerous false accusations, misappropriated funds, and cries of “Russia, Russia, Russia” that have dogged the first few years of the Trump administration. It is really distressing to watch everything go apart and to have put so much trust in John Durham as a special counsel.”

Durham has been looking into this matter for more than three years. The only other case the prosecution has undertaken, against attorney Michael Sussmann, resulted in acquittal despite the fact that he has so far succeeded in getting one conviction.

While Democrats and some legal experts contend that the investigation is intended to undermine Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation and harm Trump’s political adversaries, Trump and his allies contend that the businessman-turned-politician was unfairly targeted in an effort to harm his campaign and presidency. Durham is likely to publish a report on his findings even though it is uncertain whether he will file any more charges.
