On Wednesday, the conservative organization Restoration of America endorsed Harmeet Dhillon, a former Trump campaign lawyer, for chairman of the Republican National Committee. Doug Truax, the organization’s founder and president, stated in making the news, “I have worked with Harmeet on crucial initiatives, and I know she is up to the task.”
The vote is expected to take place on Jan. 27 at the group’s annual winter conference, which is being held this year in Orange County, California. Dhillon is opposing incumbent RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
Truax added, “We share her agenda of decentralizing power away from Washington D.C., playing offense with election integrity litigation, utilizing the best technology, being prudent and accountable with donors’ money, and aggressively tracking and chasing ballots so we can elect those who will implement genuine election integrity measures.

In its general mission statement, the religious organization states in part, “We realize that in our current moment our nation’s most serious threats are twofold: internally – the elite, Marxist neo-liberals and, abroad – Communist China.
“We defend our country by supporting like-minded politicians and by founding groups and undertaking initiatives that advance completely transparent elections, economic freedom, limited government, military dominance, secure borders, the rule of law, and the sanctity of life,” the statement reads.
Other notable conservatives who have supported Dhillon include billionaire Dick Uihlein, Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, and longtime RNC member Morton Blackwell.
After losing the House in 2018 and the presidential election in 2020, as well as the unimpressive results in the 2022 midterm elections, Republicans have voiced their displeasure with McDaniel’s leadership of the RNC.
